Celebrating the Success of the MoneyWise Youth Program!

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our first MoneyWise Youth Program at Green Pines Apartments! This impactful initiative was designed to equip young minds with essential financial literacy skills, helping them build a strong foundation for a brighter future.

Throughout the program, our youth actively engaged in hands-on learning experiences, exploring financial concepts in an interactive and empowering way. Their dedication and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! To recognize their hard work and commitment, each participant who completed the program received a Certificate of Completion and was celebrated with a special pizza party.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Ms. Ashley Royston, Retail Center Manager at PrimeWay Federal Credit Union in Houston. Her invaluable support, dedication, and commitment to youth financial education made this program even more impactful. We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Royston for her generosity and unwavering belief in the mission of MoneyWise.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the management and staff at Green Pines Apartments for allowing us to bring this program to life through their Residential Service Portfolio program. Their partnership and support have been instrumental in creating a meaningful and lasting impact within the community.

Above all, congratulations to all the incredible youth who participated! Watching them learn, grow, and develop financial confidence has been a rewarding experience. This is just the beginning of their journey toward financial empowerment, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this program—we look forward to continuing our mission of financial literacy and empowerment for the next generation!

Fresh Bites Youth Program

Growing the Future, One Seed at a Time

Fresh Bites Program

Empowering Youth Through Urban Gardening

Imagine a world where every child has the knowledge and confidence to grow their own food, even in the smallest of spaces. Fresh Bites is more than just a gardening program—it’s a movement that teaches young minds the power of sustainability, responsibility, and self-sufficiency. We believe that by equipping youth with these essential skills, we’re planting the seeds for a healthier, brighter future.

Our Mission: Fresh Bites is an innovative, hands-on gardening program designed to teach youth in urban communities how to grow fresh, nutritious food right where they live. Through an engaging 8-week curriculum, students learn about plant life cycles, sustainable gardening, and responsible food production, culminating in the proud moment when they take home their very own thriving tomato plant.

Why Fresh Bites Matters:

  • Food Security: Many children in underserved communities lack access to fresh, healthy foods. Fresh Bites empowers them with the ability to grow their own.

  • Education & STEM Learning: Gardening is a fun, hands-on way to introduce science, environmental studies, and responsibility.

  • Community Impact: By fostering a love for gardening, we’re building a generation that values sustainability and self-reliance.

  • Health & Wellness: Studies show that gardening reduces stress and increases physical activity—important benefits for growing minds and bodies.

Our Impact at Green Pines Apartments, Houston

This is our second LAURA-Compliant Residential Services Program at Green Pines Apartments, where we continue to provide enriching, hands-on learning opportunities for youth. Fresh Bites is more than an after-school activity; it’s a life-changing experience that gives children the tools to create a healthier future for themselves and their families.

We Need Your Support!

While we are excited about the success of Fresh Bites, we need your help to make this program even better. Funding is essential to provide:

  • Healthy snacks & drinks for students after school, ensuring they are fueled for learning.

  • Program materials including soil, seeds, pots, and educational resources to support hands-on learning.

  • Certificate of Completion Ceremony & Celebration to recognize and reward our young gardeners for their hard work and dedication.

Ways to Support Fresh Bites:

🌱 Make a Donation: Every contribution helps us expand our reach and impact more young lives. 🌱 Sponsor a Student: Your sponsorship will provide a child with the tools and resources to complete the Fresh Bites program. 🌱 Partner With Us: If you’re a business or organization that shares our vision, let’s collaborate to grow something incredible together.

Your support is not just a donation—it’s an investment in the future of our children and our community. Together, we can cultivate knowledge, inspire change, and grow a generation of young leaders who understand the value of sustainability and self-sufficiency.
